JTI ARMENIA CJSC (Japan Tobacco International)

JTI – Japan Tobacco International is the international tobacco division of Japan Tobacco Inc., one of the largest tobacco companies in the world. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, JTI is a truly international and multicultural business employing over 40,000 people and operating in more than 130 countries around the world.

JTI has been operating in Armenia since December 2001. Shipments of cigarettes (Winston, Camel, Sobranie, LD, Monte Carlo and Donskoy Tabak brand families) to Armenia are made from our factories in Ukraine and Russia.

Product innovation is a particular focus for driving growth within our business. Our Research & Development (R&D) team works closely with manufacturing, supply chain and marketing, as well as the many markets where our products are sold. This way, we gather insights that will support the next generation of ideas and products in JTI.

JTI takes a zero tolerance approach to all forms of illicit trade in tobacco products. In addition to JTI’s own stringent internal controls and programs, JTI fully cooperates with governments, regulators and law enforcement agencies in the fight against the illicit trade. We have signed Memoranda of Understanding in over 30 countries and have entered into formal cooperation agreements with EU and Canada.

We recognize the importance of developing the environment in which we operate. Through a number of contributions in cultural and charitable programs, we believe in positively changing the world around us.

We are committed to providing a safe workplace for our employees and to conducting our business in a way that is environmentally sustainable. Since 2014 JTI has been consistently recognized as a Top Employer Europe and Top Employer Armenia by the renowned Top Employer Institute located in the Netherlands.
