“Consultation on Franchise Development in Armenia” 2-day workshop

On July 26-27, the AmCham Armenia team and member companies participated in the “Consultation on Franchise Development in Armenia” 2-day workshop organized by International Commercial Law Development Program, U.S. Department of Commerce, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia (ՀՀ էկոնոմիկայի նախարարություն) and the U.S. Embassy Yerevan.
The workshop started with the opening remarks of Deputy Minister of Economy, Mr. Rafayel Gevorgyan, and AmCham Armenia Executive Director, Ms. Lilit Gevorgyan.
During the two days of the workshop, the participants learned about the franchising as an investment instrument, talked about the status of franchising in Armenia, and got acquainted with the franchising model and types, distinguishing investment features, franchise trends, and international expansion features, presented by Ms. Mais Abousy, Attorney-Advisor of International CLDP.
The participants also contributed to an interactive exercise, which helped put the acquired knowledge into practice, get comments from the CLDP experts, and network and share their ideas and experience around a cup of coffee.
