On 4 October 2017, in the scope of AmCham’s Responsible Business Network (RBN), AmCham Armenia Executive Office and its member, Lydian International – Armenian mineral exploration and development company – visited SOS Children’s Villages in Kotayk. The participants visited the local houses built by SOS Children’s Villages Armenia and learned about the projects and efforts SOS Children’s Villages execute. During this trip, health and safety experts from Lydian Armenia delivered a presentation on road safety rules to the children and surprised them with safety reflector equipped backpacks that glow and illuminate in the dark. Lydian Armenia continued its support to the SOS Children’s Village by donating 100 trees to SOS Village’s communities in Ijevan during the “Positive power and pure energy of nature” event on 31 October 2017, which was organized by SOS Children’s Villages Armenia. AmCham members: Radisson Blu Hotel Yerevan, Filuet Armenia, Unicomp, World Vision Armenia, Children of Armenia Fund were among the participants. Another 100 trees were donated by Lydian Armenia to the SOS Children’s villages in Kotayk region.
